You have all been with me on this creative journey. My poetry book has now made its way home to Romania, published in Romanian by the esteemed press Editura Tracus Arte and released yesterday for online and in-store purchase.
The skilled Madalina Mangalagiu (recent MA graduate of translation at the University of Bucharest) took on the unique challenge of translating American spoken word poetry written in three languages (primarily English) and crafted a Romanian version that honors the original format but is – of course – primarily in Romanian.
If you are in Romania, please consider purchasing the book online or at major bookstores across the country. If you have Romanian friends, please forward this announcement along to them. And if you are in Romania in March 2023, please stay tuned for details of my national spoken word book tour launching the book. I will be performing in Bucharest, Sibiu, Galați, and more cities.
In a strange way this publication feels heavier than my books in English. It is a return, a reckoning, and it is indeed triumphant. Click here for the book press announcement.
And if you are in Denver, CO on Sunday November 27, I invite you to my book signing (11am – 2pm) for the original “Green Horses on the Walls” at Tattered Cover Bookstore on Colfax Ave.
Thank you for your support across the decades, wishing you a joyous winter season ahead,
Cristina
