Organized by the Czech Center under the auspices of EUNIC (European Union of National Institutes of Culture), this is the second edition of a celebration of how worlds collide on multicultural. Fifteen European countries will be represented by fifteen books through readings, musical world premieres, visual art, film, architecture, and platforms for powerful discussions.
Romanian poet and theorist Magda Carneci will present her book “A Deafening Silence”, recently translated into English, at SKYBOX (5th floor), from 8 pm to 9 pm. Around this book there will be a discussion of the author with translator Adam J. Sorkin, a reading by Carla Smith, music by Carlos Perez performed by Jackie Traish (flute), and visual artifacts by Shannon Finnell (MFA photography) and Jessica Saldaña (MFA Fine Arts).
