The hugely successful American tour of the National Symphony Orchestra of Romania, led by visionary Marin Cazacu and entirely made of brilliant young musicians, concludes at the State Theatre of New Jersey with a concert dedicated to the Romanian National Culture Day.
After sold out events at some of the best known performing centers in Florida, New York City and Michigan, with long standing ovations and raving reviews, the most famous Romanian symphonic ensemble prepares for a last showcase of youthful impetuosity and musical panache under the baton of rising star Romanian-American conductor Cristian Măcelaru and with brilliant cellist Andrei Ioniță as soloist.
The evening’s program will open with George Enescu’s immortal Romanian Rhapsody No.1 and will continue with a collection of all-time favorites of the European grand repertoire.
The two-week American debut tour of the National Symphony Orchestra of Romania, endorsed by the famous composer and trumpet player Wynton Marsalis, was organized by Primo Artists and National Center ”Romanian Youth”/ Centrul Național „Tinerimea Română” with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in New York, the Embassy of Romania to the United States, The Ministry of Culture of Romania, the Consulate General of Romania in Miami and several partners in Florida, New York, New Jersey, and Michigan.
